Irrigated effluent from the settling tank is filtered by flowing it through disk filter and then
gravity-discharged. ECO-DISK is a result of supplementing the drawback of conventional
disk filters. The conventional disk filter works by running the effluent from inside out. When
the inner effluent level rises from particles blocking the filter surface the high pressure
backwash is sprayed from the outer filter surface, which basically shakes off the particles
that are collected on the inner filter surface. The particles that are not collected on the filter
surface consequently accumulate inside and its concentration level rise as more effluent is
processed, resulting deterioration of filtering capacity. ECO-DISK is designed for effluent to
flow outside in, and the disk itself is stationary with the backwash device rotating along the
disk. This revolutionary design enables noticeably better backwashing efficiency, less power
usage and individual removal of the disk while the system is in operation.
The processed
effluent is discharged from each disk installed and this design allows easy visual observation
of the discharge. |
